I woke up like this

Here comes Santa Claus......!

I hope all you kiddies are ready for the big guy tomorrow night!! I am finishing up some last minute fun stuffies for the the boys, and a few tasty treats as well before I begin the wrapping of the presents.

I have to get them all done tonight so I can enjoy myself tomorrow night. We are headed to my brother's house for Xmas eve for some conversation and food, and to give my new nephew a few more hugs.

I hope everyone has a restful and peaceful holiday, and try not to sweat the small stuff! I am going to take it all in stride this year, and just enjoy it all. Hopefully I will get some fun sled runs in before all this snow melts and maybe a little snowboarding too, but that all depends on this foot problem I have. Did I mention that I besides the Planter Fascitis I did something to it last Friday at a party and now have a big bruise under my pink toe!! Yes my foot is a mess and so am I!!

Okay all I am signing off until after Christmas, I will have to be at my desk at some point to do some work for an upcoming deadline, but until then I hope everyone has
a great Christmas!!!

Sparkle and glitter!

Here are the sparkly ornaments that I told you about. I first painted them and then put on some fun glitter to give it that extra something this time of year. I just bought some of those thin wood pieces in Michaels and painted them with Acrylics. I love the way they came out, what do you think?

I am a little crazy today getting ready for a meeting tomorrow and a party tonight and the regular Christmas stuff that needs to get done, and I am scared it will not be all done. Ahh and to top it all off we are getting a snow storm today and the kids got out early from school which makes things much more difficult.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and gets a little fun in during this crazy time of year, I am looking forward to after Christmas when I can chill and relax!

New Print- My Family Tree

Hello everyone, just thought I share a new collage that I was working on last week. I have been toying with the idea of a family tree for some time, and with the help of some kind of miracle I will be able to do some trees for those who want it when I post my shop. Its nearly half finished, but having the little guy at home and all the holiday stuff along with client work, I cannot seem to get it done. I am praying over Christmas break with the hubby off work I can. Today is another lost day since I have "pink eye" thanks to the little rascal that hangs here with me.

So how are things going with your holiday preparations? Have you finished all your shopping or are you like me haven't even started, and I say this laughing since there isn't much to shop for this year. My husband and I decided not to give each other gifts this year( there is just no need for it) and well the kids are done, and the rest is simple gift certificates to get. It seems that each year I have less and less time to get what I need done for the holidays and I don't know if I will ever get a handle on it, I think its just one of those you would expect to happen and does.

I have plans to make some cute stuffies for the boys and I am almost finished with my handpainted ornaments to give to clients and friends. So on that note I am off to go to the craft store, Staples, and CVS with my little culprit. Must bring some candy to ward off the crazy behavior of a wild 5 year old!!

Friends, Friends and more Friends!

Ah what can you say about friends this time of year. Lately I have been obsessed with talking to my friends on Facebook! Has anyone else been hit by the Facebook bug? I am having too much fun connecting with my current friends and some old college ones. When ever I can have some fun talking to friends I am all there, and these days when life is completely crazy its nice to have someone to talk to.

This design I did a couple of years ago and is on a card you can buy on Design Design's shop site called Gallery19 It is not a huge card but I love it because they added some sparkle to it.

I have so many cards in my house that I have designed over the years that I never need to create one which makes my life easier. Although I do create a mini album to put inside it for my friends and family.I love to look back at each year and see how the boys have grown and how we have changed.

Okay I must return to work since next week I have a full plate and I will not be able to get much done. If you haven't joined Facebook, you should its just too much fun!!

First snow!

Ahh today we woke up to our first snow of winter this year and the kids were so excited! We went out and had to make Mr. Snow! I think he came out rather cute, and afterwards we came in for some hot cocoa and a movie.

I love how the snow looks when it first comes down before it gets all muddy and ugly. Our deck looks so pretty with the blanket of snow.

This is why I seriously need an SLR camera, I cannot get those fabulous focused photos up close!

Friday I had 9 boys over making gingerbread houses!! These were a few of them, and they did a great job. I have to tell you that I pre-made the houses so all they had to do was decorate them. It is much easier this way since a friend tried it the other way last year and it was not great. The kids had a great time decorating and I love how different they all are.

So there was my crazy weekend and now I am ready for some peace and quiet! Thank God school is tomorrow or I will go insane. Have a great Sunday everyone! Off to take a nap!

Everything has gone to the birds!

More and more birds are here, and why not I just can't seem to work on anything else these
days. I know its been awhile since my last post but things just are too busy around here with the kids and work.

When I did this print I was then inspired to do this!!:

Yes, I went bird crazy creating all these fun crafty ornaments and the kids wanted more and more so I just couldn't stop. They were fighting over who had the better one and what their bird had or did not have in its mouth. Oh lord does anyone out there have boys that get along? Please give me your tips. Its an up and down battle here.

Anyway I am working on getting a pattern out for you to download, and I have decided not to promise when it will be posted since my life is all over the place and Typepad keeps changing its format and making me crazy! I don't even want to get into how I tried all weekend to get my comments on other blogs to connect to my blog as it had done in the past. They have changed things and its making things difficult while I am trying to finish putting up the shop. Will there ever be a day where things just go right??? Today everyone is home and I cannot get a thing done, why can't they all just go out!!!! Argh!

Okay enough ranting for one day, I am going to attempt to try and get some productive work done, but with the hubby printing stuff out next to me I am about to have a
meltdown!
