New Print - Mom Bird

I know I know I have been a very bad blogger lately, but I have an excuse, I have finally put up my Etsy site!! You can click on it here.

Yes I promised many months ago to have it ready but I should just stop promising things from now on since I can't seem to get anything done these days. I would say it is near impossible for me to keep up with my work load with a 5 year old at home. There just is no way anyone can have kids home and work, and if they do they are lying to you so don't believe them.

I created this print in honor of the upcoming Mother's Day and I plan on having some more fun prints/paintings in the shop in the next few weeks for Mother's Day, plus a great family tree design you could custom order.

These days I am looking forward to Mother's Day and some serious time off! I have been consistently doing my P90x workout 6 days a week for a month now.I am loosing inches and my clothes are getting loose which makes me happy, and in the summer I will be working on my other goal and trying to make that happen. So things are busy here, and Spring has finally arrived so I am feeling more than optimistic, and I hope you are too!

Welcome Spring!!

Hello first day of Spring!! It's about time you got here! I have been waiting for far too long and now I can finally breathe. I think I am in dire need of some spring cleaning around here and just to illustrate my point I cleaned up an old image I did years ago to this one..

I thought that it was nice but needed some updating..not sure if I like the new one or not but its growing on me.

So how is your first day of Spring going? I am in need of a brain cleaning here since I realized this morning I washed my cell phone in my jacket and then later I burned a pot with lemons in to to get rid of the fish smell from last night only to have a burnt smell! I think that this first day of Spring is making my memory cells die!

I will be cleaning later on though to get ready for my weekend.. I hope everyone has a great one, and is enjoying what Spring has to offer.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Does everyone have their green on today?? I know I do! Although I am not 100% Irish I am afterall 50% Irish so I think I qualify to celebrate! The rest of me is Italian and Scottish so there is lots of good old angry blood in me.
I can't believe I actually woke up at 7am today so I could workout before I had to attend my son's school mass and reception. It was a long mass today and my little 5 year-old Colby was a trouper to say the least, I was proud that he could handle it.

Anyway here is a little print I did recently for a client that was a more modern take on a shamrock, as you can see I had a little fun with it. Okay so how about a little trivia.. does anyone know what St. Patrick said the 3 leaf clover symbolizes? I am sure all you Catholic School survivors out there would know this!

I hope everyone is enjoying this day, and since its so nice out here, I know I will. Try not to get to loaded up on that green beer!

Signs of Spring!

Ahh yes the signs of Spring are here.. fragrant smells of daffodils on my desk as you see pictured here, and the weather finally cooperating. I can see bits and parts of my own flowers budding out of the ground and with that a complete smile upon my face. I am a child of the Spring so therefore it is in my nature to love it so. My desk as you see here is a complete mess and needs some serious Spring cleaning. If you notice in the second picture you will see a heart monitor and watch that has become my new best friend in the fight against the bulge! Yes, I have been vigorously working out.. trying to complete some of those New Years resolutions I made! While most think I am nuts by working so hard I am finally beginning to see the fruits of my labor.. and I do mean labor! pay off. I will post the final result when it is completed which is my body in a bikini!!! Yes you heard it a bikini! I am determined this year to get back to my old stealth self and put on a fabulous bikini this summer so stay tuned for that.

Work has been nuts lately and I am trying to finish up my 2010 Spring fabric collection for Clothworks, but with kids parties and such and other clients knocking at my door its been a struggle. I am looking forward to uninterrupted work this summer when both of my boys will be in camp full time. I may even do a dance! Its been awhile since I have had about 7 hours of uninterrupted work and I am sure with all that time I might find myself starting at the wall sometimes wondering what to do. I am hoping to get to one of my other resolutions by then.. we shall see.

So how is your day today.. do you have thoughts of daffodils, tulips, and crocuses running around in your head? How about a fresh coat of paint on your walls ( I need to paint my family room big time!) or that big clean that makes everything sparkle and feel like new. I think for me the fact that the weather is nice and the snow is gone is enough happiness!

New Print

Having fun with some more of my flower icons today, and well its just not a party without some crazy backgrounds to go with it. I was playing around with one particular one which was the little vines and then I threw in the big green one just for fun. I don't know about you but I am trying hard not to listen to the news these days.. it's just to depressing and not productive to my line of work. Yes I know the economy is in the tank but I still have to produce and I still have to create, so stop filling up my head with all this noise.
I have decided to focus on all the things I have neglected for some time like exercise and projects that I have put off, and what better time to do it then when things are slow. I am actually enjoying the slow work load these days so I can focus on those things I need to.
Anyway which background do you like best...? I would love to know since I am bias on my own creations and it's always nice to hear other opinions.

Oh and by the way if ever you want an intense and I mean intense workout to get you lean you must try what I am doing p90x! Tony Horton is my new rock star!
