Just Me Talking

Hello tweets.. I have decided to do something fun and different today. I am going to be doing a little feature on my blog called " Just Me Talking" it will be an illustration with a quote I have about how I am feeling.

Today I decided to do one about Drinking since ironically I am not really drinking these days. I am really focusing on getting my body in the best shape possible and well drinking just doesn't fit the bill for that.. so I am living vicariously through my illustration instead. However with that said, it is true that I do only look good when I am drinking.
When I go out with friends or my husband I get dressed up so naturally I would look good when I am drinking. Most days you will find me in my studio with my hair pulled back and no makeup on, wearing very casual clothes, but when I go out I always make it a point to put my face on and get dressed in my fancy or much more sexy clothes.

I mean what is the point of doing all that if your just going to stay home? I certainly don't see it. Who the hell is going to care what you look like there? Although if I have company coming over, then the face and clothes change.

So my peeps.. look for more fun and crazy quotes from little ol' me! I know you just can't wait, and I have lots of them, naturally!

Coffee Talk

While I sit down with some coffee I thought it would be nice to do some coffee talk. I wanted to thank all those who wrote in on my last post and listened to my rant about the economy and how its effected me. I am not normally so down but that particular day I was feeling it and hey what are feelings if you don't use them, and what better than to write a post about it!

I do have one rant left now- February vacation!! Yes this dreaded vacation always to me seems so useless and not warranted by many including yours truly! I mean the kids just had a long Christmas vacation and then they throw this one in just to torture those parents who actually work!!

Do you know what its like to work at home and have a deadline that is due the last Friday of vacation week? TORTURE!! I have 2 boys who are the most opposite that any two people can be and when they are together its a constant battle of "mom Colby hit me, Mom Hayden won't get me this!!" Enough!

As I was talking to one of my oldest girlfriends the other day about my upcoming birthday plans she was saying if she had to do it all over again... no way would she had kids! I seriously had to laugh because this was the girl who wanted 5 and only had one! She said to me after I reminded her of that , well I was twenty then and stupid! Haa While we both agree we love our children more than life sometimes its just way too much.. now I know why those women in the 1950's drank a ton!

Anyway I want you all to know Miss Suzy Positive is back but when she feels like ranting she will from time to time and you can bet on it. I am currently working on a great project that I cannot wait to share..I know all you crazy Scrapbooking people will want to run out and grab what I am working on, and thats all the hint I am going to give. This project is a little challenging but then again you know I love a challenge!

I have always been the kind of person who thrives on challenge and competition, its just my nature. Also call me crazy but I can't do anything when I have time on my hands, I work best when a million things are going on. Maybe I should get tested for ADD because I seem to be all over the place all the time. Its probably why I can do Twitter and work.

Well I am off to try and complete the secret project and I hope you all are having a great day, and for those who are dealing with February vacation hell like me.. lets have a big drink come Monday because I think we all deserve it!

Say what you need to say

"Say" a song by John Mayer is playing in the background as I begin this post and I felt it fit right in what I needed to say, which these days is not much. I am having a hard time these days to say something that is fun, uplifting and positive, and with that damn Valentine's Day I have to be reminded about saying things about LOVE!

This economy has so greatly effected my family that its hard to feel anything but depressed! Yes dare I say it..I am depressed! I am tired of busting my ass on work and going in circles.. I am tired of watching our savings go and cutting back on even the simple things.. I am tired of trying to look on the "bright side" of things.. I am just plain tired!!

I am sorry if this post seems a bit sad, but really if your reading this and trying to figure out what is going on in my life this is it! I am never one to hold back how I feel..hence I always "say what I need to say!" and so I am saying out loud to the world ENOUGH !! There I said it! Now I can go onto making those silly heart cookies for the kids Valentine's parties, creating something special for them to let them know although mommy is having a tough time she still loves them deeply. Maybe after I eat a pile of that sugar cookie dough my disposition will change, I mean how can you feel sad when you got a mouth load of sugar in it?? Impossible!

So my dear friends.. "say what you need to say" even if its not pleasant, life is too short to hold it in.. so go out and say it whatever it is!!

Love ...what is it really?

What is Love?? Is it a feeling? an action? a place? a smell? a sentiment? The question about love has been going on since the dawn of time and I am not sure there is any one particular thing it is, its a multitude of things.

There is the love you have for your family, pets, food, friends, fun, what you do or what hobby you have. Their is the love for fashion and feeling good. There is the love for chocolate which most women agree is almost better than being with someone, although I have never been a big chocolate lover.

There is the intense love of a child which for me is beyond anything I could ever experience in my lifetime. There is no way to explain a Mother's Love.. it just is! That doesn't mean that those who do not have children can't experience intense love.. they can they just place it elsewhere.. like a cause or taking care of family members.

Love...sometimes its cruel, and heartbreaking, which is why Valentine's Day for me is one evil day! I was never the girl who had someone on that day and it always was a cruel reminder of that! I only like it now because I have to for work, and not because I finally found someone.

So.. when you think of Love what do you think of??
