Hello all, yes I know I have been completely absent from my blog, but with good reason, I have slammed with work for the past few weeks and now I am finally coming up for air. I actually got to take a weekend for myself and visit a friend on Martha's Vineyard, which was a much needed break. I have been busy creating new collections for many new and exciting Licensees some of which I have wanted to work with for a very long time.
We had a few bumps on the road here with my little 6 yr old getting injured and having 5 stitches and my husband's grandma who recently passed away. She was an amazing woman who lived a long and full life, she was 100, yes folks 100 yrs old and enjoyed every day she was on this planet. My oldest was very sad since he knew her longer than my little guy, and it pained me to see him so sad, but he was lucky to have such a special gift , a great-grandma for over ten years!
My new "Beetle Boy" collection is now up on the Clothworks website, this is a great and fun collection not just for boys but for those who love bright, fun colors as well. I think I am going to have to make something fun for my little nephew with this one! I am currently working on my 6th fabric collection and its chalk full of fun little critters and patterns.
I hope you all are enjoying your summer, I know we are hoping to take a little break next month and visit some friends and just hang at the beach. There is nothing like summer, I am working very hard this year so that next summer I can take a few weeks off and really enjoy it. I am jealous of those have taken so much time off especially since its been one of the best summers on record weather wise. I would give anything to just stick my feet in the sand for days on end... ah just the thought of it makes me want to play hooky today!
